Nightshades by Harlow Daiger and Marley Del Wood

Nightshades is a short story collection written by Harlow Daiger and Marley Del Wood. Each short story revolves around horror and suspense. I don’t typically read these genres, but I have read a few. Nightshades definitely lives up to the genre! There were many times I found myself unable to put the book down and on the edge of my seat.

After reading these six short stories, my favorite one was “It Should Have Been Me” because it had a nice twist at the end. The whole time, I knew something was up, but I couldn’t quite put my finger on it. Once the big revelation happened, I had to sit back and soak it all in.

Overall, Nightshades is a quick and enjoyable read. Some of the stories left me wanting more, like in “Dear Sister,” I desperately wanted to read more about Lucy. I would absolutely read more books from either of these authors!
